The AD-850-SE is a combined cassette deck and CD player that supports recording and playback via USB memory.
The cassette section is a two-head, one-way type for record/playback and supports cassette tapes in normal, chrome, and metal (playback only) positions.

The CD player section can play music CDs as well as CD-R/RWs containing MP3 files. Various playback modes such as program play, shuffle play, and repeat play (single/all/program) are also provided.
The USB memory stick playback and recording function supports MP3 format file playback and recording, and supports program playback, shuffle playback, and repeat playback as well as CD.
Recording from cassette tape/CD/external input device to USB flash drive (MP3 file) or from CD/USB flash drive (MP3 file)/external input device to cassette tape can be dubbed between the respective media.
A microphone input jack with echo function is provided on the front panel to record microphone audio to cassette or USB memory.
It can also be used for karaoke practice, such as mixing microphone audio with music played from CD/cassette/USB in the background and recording it to cassette tape for confirmation.
In addition, a convenient timer function is also available. By combining it with a commercially available timer, you can wake up to your favorite song or use the timer recording (cassette) function to enjoy old-fashioned air check (radio program recording).
